MOVE Myanmar Opens Fitness Facility

MOVE Myanmar, a fitness and wellness facility, has opened its first gym centre on Merchant street in downtown Yangon in a bid to tap the fitness conscious city dwellers.

The centre will offer tailored programs and a range of group exercise classes, personal trainers and fitness equipment, MOVE said in a statement.

Nathaniel Anumba, managing director, MOVE, said, “We have spent months in preparations to provide members with the best experience possible. Our members receive personalised fitness evaluations upon sign-up to determine a dedicated course of action for them to reach their health and fitness goals.”

Anumba has previously launched and worked in fitness facilities in Myanmar, Singapore and Malaysia. He has international certifications in weight-loss and Kettlebell training, as well as a sports background including basketball, martial arts and boxing, according to MOVE.

The centre is open seven days a week – from 6am to 10pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Sample classes at MOVE include boot camp, bodypump, dance fitness, power abs, total body conditioning and yoga.

MOVE offers complimentary workout classes from Les Mills, online and mobile fitness assessments, and personal training sessions for members. MOVE is located at 608 Merchant Street at the corner of 31st street in Pabedan township.
