Myanmar Carlsberg Partners with Local Companies to Expand Distribution and Brewery Expertise in Mandalay and Monywa

MANDALAY, Myanmar – August 14, 2015 – Myanmar Carlsberg Co., Ltd. (Myanmar Carlsberg) today signed a distribution agreement with Mandalay Kudos Co. Ltd and Lucky Two Elephant, assigning the companies as Carlsberg’s distributor partners in the major cities of Mandalay and Monywa.

The partnership was signed at the Mandalay Hill Resort Hotel with the intention of expanding Carlsberg’s brewery expertise and distribution in the Myanmar market. With these partnerships, Myanmar Carlsberg’s well-known international premium beer brand Tuborg and Yoma, which is tailored for Myanmar consumers, and coming soon, the flagship brand Carlsberg will be available for the first time for retail in these cities.

Approximately 100 guests joined notable attendees at the ceremony including U Thant Zin Tun, Executive Director of Myanmar Carlsberg and Vice-Chairman of Myanmar Golden Star (MGS), MyanmarCarlsberg Managing Director Anthony Clark and Myanmar Carlsberg management team, Mandalay Kudos Administrative Director U Aung Naing Myint and Finance Director U Thant Sin, from Lucky Two Elephant, Owner U Tun Aung, signing the agreement and his managing team, U Nyan Min Tun, U Zaw Min Tun, U Yan Naung Tun.

Myanmar Carlsberg’s Executive Director U Thant Zin Tun, said about the new partnership; “We are proud to work with Mandalay Kudos and Lucky Two Elephant to expand our distribution to Mandalay, and in Monywa. These sentiments were echoed by the Administrative Director of Mandalay Kudos Co. Ltd, U Aung Naing Myint, who said, “We are happy to be chosen as partners of Carlsberg. In May 2015, Myanmar Carlsberg inaugurated its state-of-the-art facility in Bago and has been selling in Myanmar since then, adding Myanmar to their long-standing worldwide, network of brewing expertise and world-famous products sold in more than 150 markets.
