Daiwa Institute of Research has been actively making preparations to establish a stock-exchange and providing support for the cultivation of Myanmar’s financial markets, a source at the Investment and Companies Registration Department said.
Daiwa Institute of Research, DIR established a joint venture with Myanmar Company namely ACE Data Systems Ltd.
The DIR will carry out IT functions and software programs.
The DIR has started the establishment of Myanmar’s financial market since 1990 and won the permission for government treasury bonds as the representative together with Myanmar Economic Bank in 2010.
DIR and Tokyo Stock Exchange Group have agreed a memorandum of understanding with the Central Bank of Myanmar to collaborate on the establishment of stock exchanges in Yangon and Mandalay in 2015.
