Investment boom continues, data shows

Myanmar nationals sought approval for projects worth about US$6 million in the garment, fisheries and construction industries last month from the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, DICA said.

Previously, it said it had received a total of $2.653 in investment applications from foreign and domestic investors between January and November last year, with about $2 billion of the total from foreign investors. DICA officials also said that so far this year they had received eight applications for investment in transportation, road and bridge construction, and harbor- and container-terminal services.
