Global audit firms Deloitte and the Ernst & Young are planning set up offices in Myanmar, a source said.
The UK companies are part of the largest international network providing audit and related professional services called the “Big Four”. The other two, the Swiss firm KPMG and another UK company PricewaterhouseCoopers, have opened their branch offices in Yangon in November.
The companies said since sanctions on the country have been gradually eased, foreign companies will continue to come to Myanmar. The auditors will provide services ranging from auditing, accounting to consultancy and legal assistance.
