Real Madird coaches to train Myanmar footballers

Three coaches from Real Madrid's academy will help train both Myanmar coaches as well as U-14 and U-16 Myanmar footballers in November this year, a local media reported Thursday.

The training course is scheduled from Nov.16 to 25 at Thuwunna stadium here, said the 7Day News.

"Training of former footballers and instructors from foreign countries will create opportunities for Myanmar footballers to keep in touch with international football standard," an official of Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) was quoted as saying.

In September, former Liverpool Football Club (FC) winger John Barnes had conducted a four-day training for Myanmar U-12 players in Yangon.

The former football player also held lectures on football theories for 40 coaches from Myanmar National League clubs and the Basic Education Department.

The football training courses were sponsored by Digicel Company, an MFF sponsor.
