Myanmar, Indian entrepreneurs to meet in Yangon for business cooperation

Myanmar and Indian entrepreneurs will meet at the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers and Commerce Industry (UMFCCI) in Yangon for business cooperation matters on next Monday, according to UMFCCI Tuesday.

Aimed at promoting bilateral trade and investment of the two countries, Indian business delegation of Indo-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry will make discussion with its Myanmar counterpart on such business sectors as pulses and beans, timbers, sesame, pharmaceuticals, metal, tourism, construction, textile, automobile, clothing, livestock and agriculture, the sources said.

According to official statistics, Myanmar-India bilateral trade reached 426.37 million US dollars in the first four months (April- July)of the fiscal year 2012-13. Of the total, Myanmar's export to India amounted to 329.49 million U.S.dollars, while its import from India was valued at 96.89 million dollars.
